What do SMBs want in a cloud solution? To find out, we recently surveyed 500 U.S. and 100 UK SMB principals.

For U.S. very small businesses (VSBs, with fewer than 20 employees) and small businesses (SBs, with 20 to 99 employees), and for UK SMBs, security is the most important attribute of a cloud solution. U.S. midsized businesses (MBs, with 100 to 500 employees) prioritize proven technology, which is second for all other groups. Other top attributes include integration with other applications (second or third for VSBs, SBs, and UK SMBs); having an easy upgrade path; and tailored for companies their size (third for MBs).
